This autumn, the bunker of 180 studios has been transformed into a sensorial maze, furnished by the innovative works of 12 experimental artists from across the globe. Featuring a mixture of fresh commissions and established works such as Je Baak’s Universe 2019, this collaborative display intends to distort, modify and imitate reality through algorithm and AI.

Drawing inspiration from nature, humanity and time, each installation challenges perception and emotion – travel through clouds, meadows, fairgrounds and beaches in an experience like no other. Bombarding your senses with sound, colour and light, this ingenious exhibition transforms everyday reality into surreality. From Random International’s shawl of fish-like algorithms to the crashing waves at A’strict’s digital beach, the boundaries of art and technology are pushed, twisted and redefined.

Despite the various sensory stimuli, this exhibition is surprisingly calming – stand back and enjoy The Transfiguration, kick back and relax on the Starry Beach, and revel in the fluidity and melody of Shan Shui Paintings By AI. Lose track of time in this futuristic utopia, divulging in the past, present and the future – this marriage between the natural and artificial is a digital alchemy not to be missed.
