Situated on the perimeters of Sloane Square, proudly stands the art-deco, Parisian style cafe, Colbert. Paying homage to traditional French dining and culture, Colbert boasts deep mahogany accents, bold vintage art & black tie uniforms – you’ll certainly feel as if you’ve stepped back in time! Seated outside, shielded by a rouge canopy on the city verge, indulge in a coffee and a croissant for an ambiance reminiscent of outdoor Parisian dining. The perfect location to discretely observe the crowds pass on by, in one of the most beautiful locations in London.
The Food & Service
On the few occasions I have visited Colbert, both the food and service have been exceptional. On previous visits, I have ordered the Chicken Liver Parfait & the French Onion Soup, both of which deserve much praise. My father is a regular visitor & has never been disappointed by a return visit (he would most definitely recommend the Tarte Tatin à la Mode). Breakfast was no exception. I opted for the simple classic, Croissant Jambon Blanc et Gruyère (ham & cheese croissant) & my friend ordered scrambled eggs with smoked salmon – both plates were delicious and the overall experience was very pleasant. Colbert is a restaurant I would recommend without hesitation & I look forward to returning again.
