Showcasing never before seen photographs, musical memorabilia & creative contributions from fans, the Bob Marley One Love Experience is the perfect outing for all Marley, music & art lovers. Loved by many and adored far and wide, the memory of Marley immortalised in a sentimental collection of art, music and photography.

Curated in collaboration with Marley’s daughter, Cadella, the One Love Experience explores both the personal and public domains of Marley’s life. A warming display of Marley’s private past, from handwritten lyrics to personal possessions. Explore his life through misty jungles, get groovy at the silent disco & leave a loving message on the ‘one love’ tree – this collection is sensorial and relaxed, a laid-back, yet emotive gesture to the memory of a reggae legend.

Whilst elements of this exhibition are undeniably beautiful, in particular the silent disco and fan art installation, I can’t help but admit that aspects of the display felt slightly gimmicky. There are additional charges for closed areas and classes in the immersive jungle on top of the already pricey entrance fee. I recognise and admire the sentiment behind the display, but felt that there was a lot of empty, potential space. The jungle felt detached and unrelated to the collection, and the room filled with photo sets and props was novel and out of place. I recommend attending the exhibit on a weekday, rather than the weekend to avoid the surged prices, take your time examining the walled displays & spend more than 5 minutes in the silent disco – make the most of your trip and indulge in the life, love and music of Bob Marley.
