Duke of York Square Food Market

  • Where? 80 Duke of York Square, London, SW3 4LY
  • When? Every Saturday, 10am-4pm
  • What? Farmers produce, street-food, bakery, patisserie, cheeses & meats

Every Saturday, the cobbled pavements of the Duke of York Square are bought to life by an ensemble of local food produce sellers. From cakes to confectionary, street food to sweet food, gourmet to groceries, this charming little market has it all.

A great opportunity to feast on treats from various global cuisines, support local businesses or grab a quick bite to go – so much choice, for such a little space, making this market one of my favourite places. With neighbouring high-street shops and boutiques, the Saatchi gallery & Hyde Park only a short walk away, there’s plenty to keep you occupied as you indulge on donuts, paella, sushi galore.

We wondered the market in search of some tasters, trying many unusual (yet, delicious) bites to eat – but it was a family run sausage shop that stole the show, with a quirky combo of pheasant and ginger. You never know what weird and wonderful things you may stumble upon at a market, so make sure to head over to Kensington & do some hunting!
