Columbia Road Flower Market

  • Where? Columbia Rd, London E2 7RG
  • When? Every Sunday 8am-2pm
  • What? Flower and Plant market

Colouring the cobbled streets of Columbia Road every Sunday is a sea of bright petals, stiff stems and leafy greens. From succulents to seasonal pickings, house plants to bouquets, this market is in no short supply of variety, vibrancy and of course, natural beauty!

Whether you are on the hunt for a new household companion, or wishing to woo and impress a loved one with a personalised bouquet, you will not be disappointed by the amass of options on offer. I recommend getting to the market as early as possible in order to avoid the wave of crowds that flood in at around noon. Whilst the road itself is short, there is plenty to keep you occupied once you’ve plucked your petalled jewels – a procession of Victorian gift shops, home shops, grocery shops and more line the floral frontier, and as you reach the high-street, you will be met by a range of independent cafes and restaurants. Hackney City Farm is just a short walk from the market, as well as the beautiful green space of London Fields, so why not make a day of it?
