If you’ve ever wondered where the long queue that extends into Borough Market leads to, well now you know. Don’t be put off by the string of hungry pasta lovers however, this may be one of the quickest queues in London.

Padella is well-known for its fresh food, efficient service and affordable prices. It has long been hailed as one of the best spots in London for delicious pasta, but did it live up to the taste test? The answer is a resounding yes. The pasta is made freshly in store and you can tell. Dishes are served up hot and steamy, fresh and creamy! The menu changes regularly but pasta plates tend to lie within the £6 – £10 range, which is quite unheard of in London.

The catch? Quick service may be a pro for those in need of a speedy and tasty meal, but if you’re wanting a more relaxed and casual dining experience, pace becomes a con. The queues melt away simply because customers are leaving as quickly as they came in, which can feel slightly pressured when you’re trying to enjoy your food. Don’t get me wrong, I love it here; the food, the atmosphere, the location. The only downfall is that I often feel rushed and ousted out before even taking my last mouthful (particularly the Borough branch).

All in all, Padella offers an experience like no other and I highly recommend a visit.
