Infinity Mirror Rooms

Infinitely beautiful and beyond expectations…

  • Where? Tate Modern, Bankside, London SE1 9TG
  • When? Until April 2nd 2023
  • How Much? £5 tickets for under 25s (Tate Collective members) / £10 standard rates
  • Who? Yayoi Kusama

Since it’s opening, Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirror Rooms have received a wave of positivity. Relentlessly selling out as art lovers scrambled for tickets, Tate Modern even decided to extend the display…a testament to the inspiring and innovative work of one of the most influential artists of the 21st Century.

Kusama is best known for her distinctive ‘speckled’ designs, often patterning objects, canvas and even the latest Louis Vuitton collection with an array of dots. Whilst the Infinity Mirror Rooms are slightly divergent in style, they are no less striking by design. A mirrored room of glass cased chandelier’s and a water lined walk way through a chamber of stars. Much of the beauty displayed by Kusama is a product of simplicity, the ability to turn something ordinary and familiar into something otherworldly.

Whilst there is not long left to secure a ticket to this extraordinary display, I highly recommend scouring online for the last remaining spots. The exhibit is small, admittedly, but no less mighty, an astounding masterpiece by one of the few contemporaries I would race to attend. If like myself, you are an admirer of the work of Damian Hurst, Olafur Eliasson, Ai Weiwei and so on, then make sure to book yourself in before it’s too late!
