Behold Hockney’s colourful creativity on display like never before, encompassing audiences with towering projections of photography, art and film. Bringing us both physically and intellectually closer to his work, his inspiration and the magic behind each and every one of his collections, Hockney breathes new life into his creative portfolio.
A legacy shaped by movement, perspective and of course, colour, Hockney takes us on his evolutionary journey from canvas to polaroid to digital media. Composing digital illustrations step-by-step before us, against the dramatic sound of classical music, Hockney’s work transcends both space and time.
The display lasts about 50 minutes, fixed within a single room. Hockney’s work occupies the vast space from ear to ear, allowing audiences to appreciate the work from a range of perspectives. This is one of the most beautiful and insightful immersive exhibitions I’ve been to in London to date, an extraordinary experience I recommend to anyone visiting the city.
