For a brilliant evening of live music, art, workshops and late night talks, head down to Tate Modern’s Turbine Hall on the last Friday of the month. This fun & quirky event is a great opportunity to explore the Tate after hours, discover more about the collection and it’s cultural heritage, whilst enjoying a boozy beverage. Last Friday celebrated women artists from the Tate collection, with creative workshops and activities on every level – make sure to check the timetable beforehand so you don’t miss out!
Taking inspiration from the 1985 Guerrilla Girl’s Dearest Art Collector campaign, Ferren Gipson gave visitors an opportunity to write their own letters to the Tate, to be responded to by Clara Kim & Tamsin Hong later that evening. Other creative events included Feminist Data Set with Caroline Sinders, an exclusive workshop with Kazvare Made It, a screen-printing workshop with Fox Fisher and Sleight of Hand, a film screening with Marin Håskjold and a history of protest art with Aindrea Emelife to name but a few. A wonderful opportunity to dive-deeper into the creative minds of the creatives you love & to take home a new skill or a new perspective.
