Harrods Bakery

Rating: 4 out of 5.

  • Where? Knightsbridge (Ground Floor, Harrods 87–135 Brompton Road Knightsbridge London SW1X 7XL)
  • How much? ££ – £££
  • What? Sweet and Savoury pastries and sweets

The home of luxury retail also houses a delicious secret. With a little something for everyone, Harrods’s ground floor food hall offers a range of tasty treats, from fine dining to grocery. As you may well expect, the food hall is no less luxurious, which comes at a less appetising cost. Nonetheless, there are still plenty of affordable options to feast upon!

One of the more economical options (and not to mention delicious!) is the bakery and patisserie station. From freshly baked loaves to hand-frosted cakes, these tempting delights are a little taste of luxury without the financial bite. Sure, it’s slightly more dear than your average bakery, but as a one off, I could not resit!

What we ordered

There’s no doubt that these baked goods are of exceptional quality. Fresh fancies are regularly restocked and the decoration is near perfection. Prices range between £3-£6 for the smaller products and bakery classics. I highly recommend a visit!

1. Bad boy brownie cupcake

8/10 – This was my favourite of the two cupcakes. The chocolate was perfectly balanced by the half and half vanilla chocolate sponge, not too sickly. It had a really rich cacao flavour and the texture was light and fluffy.

2. Peanut butter cupcake

7/10 – Really tasty, rich and creamy, falling just short of the brownie cupcake as it was very slightly too sweet for me.
